The Lost Pines Learning Collective
2025 Swim Season
Coach Roger's Swim Sessions
Each month, your registered swimmers meet (1) time per week for (4) weeks. Class length depends on age and skill level, and classes are held at various times on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays this season.
Parent-and-Child classes are limited to (8) families, and all other classes are limited to (6) swimmers, no exceptions. This ensures quality instruction and enough 1:1 time with each learner throughout lessons.
All Lesson Packages are $160 (or $40/lesson).
Reserve Your Spot in Three Easy Steps
- Click "ENROLL NOW" under your class of choice.
- Complete registration and check out.
- Read your follow up email carefully for important information.
During your child’s first class, Coach Roger will assess each swimmer’s skill level and confirm whether they are in the correct class.
Parents are typically spot on with their selection. But occasionally, Coach may recommend an alternative class level. After the final lesson, he also provides a recommendation for your child’s next class.
Individual class descriptions contain detailed information about what is taught at each level below. Read through our FAQ section at the bottom of this page for additional information like what’s changed this season, and updated policies.

Frequently Asked Swim Questions
What's New This Season?
LOTS OF UPGRADES! Find out more below…
Policy Updates! In order to serve our swim families best this season, we will only allow the max number of swimmers you see listed for each class. No additional spots will be opened in any class. This ensures that your swimmers receive the very best experience in these small group sessions. We clarified our Cancellation and Make-Ups policy as well. Find that in the FAQ below “What If I Need to Cancel My Lessons?”
Better Accommodations! You shared, and we listened! Based on feedback last season, we have secured a new location for swim lessons this summer. There is a small increase in cost (from $35 to $40 per lesson) for these improved accommodations. But we think you’ll agree they’re totally worth it!
Still very close to town. Still a very private setting. But the pool is bigger and deeper. The private restroom and parent hang out areas are nicer. And there’s a bit more room to park, to name a few improvements.
More Class Options! We expanded the number of classes, and shifted curriculum and class times around a bit. Some changes include:
- More spots in our Parent-and-Child classes
- New weekday classes on Wednesday and Thursday evenings
- Split Beginner Swimmers into two groups – Preschool Age and School Age Beginners
- New intermediate swimmer focus: Swim Team/Competitive Swim Prep
- Split intermediate swim into two age groups – Primary Swim Team Prep and Middle/High School Swim Team Prep
New Sibling Discount! We now offer a 10% discount for any sibling registration after the first swimmer registered to help keep lessons accessible to all of our swim families.
Where Is the Swimming Pool?
ADDRESS COMES IN FOLLOW UP EMAIL! Our private swimming pool is located in Bastrop, TX within a few miles of the Downtown area. Because it is a private pool, we provide an exact address in your confirmation email once you have registered for lessons.
What If My Child’s Skill Level Class Is Full?
JOIN OUR WAIT LIST! One week prior to any Swim Session Start Date, if any spots have opened that match your swimmer’s swim level, we will reach out to extend an offer for the slot. We will reach out to wait-listed families in order of receipt of your wait list form submission.
What If I Need to Cancel Our Swim Sessions?
CANCEL AT LEAST 7 DAYS IN ADVANCE FOR A REFUND!
Cancellation Policy
Our new system allows swim families to self-cancel through their account portal at any time. And this does help us manage class sizes. However! Due to our pool reservation agreement, we are only able to offer a full refund, less any transaction fees, if you cancel at least 7 days in advance of the first class of your child’s first swim class. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER.
Make-Up Policy
Due to our pool reservation agreement, we are also unable to offer individual make-up sessions this year. Just as any other group sport or enrichment activity in our community, NO MAKE-UP SESSIONS WILL BE OFFERED FOR INDIVIDUAL ABSENCES. Please be sure before you register that the dates for your selected class works with your family’s schedule!
Inclement Weather & Instructor Emergency Cancellations
From time to time throughout the season, Coach Roger may need to bring in a substitute instructor. However, he will only ever cancel class for two reasons:
- Severe weather. We are able to hold class in the rain. We will not hold class if there is thunder and lightening.
- Family emergency AND unable to secure a substitute instructor for the class. He does have well-qualified substitute instructors on call.
In either of these rare cases, we will not refund for individual classes, but Coach Roger will be in touch as soon as possible to offer a single make-up date and time for the entire class.
Does Coach Roger Offer Private Lessons?
YES! Depending upon his personal availability, Coach Roger can offer private one-on-one swim lessons for all ages and skill levels. You can find all of his direct contact information in his Lost Pines Learning Collective Community Resource Guide listing.
All agest welcome; Individual lessons are 45 minutes for children 11 years and under; 55 minutes for swimmers age 12+.
